There's no such thing as a perfect parent, so just be a real one. -Sue Atkins
That darn mommy guilt!
So many of us feel it when we fall short of perfect.
We are all far from perfect and that's okay!
"If you're a mom like me with constant demands on your time, this is a great resource!" @MichelleGielan
In this book, Lose That Mommy Guilt, Tales and Tips from an Imperfect Mom, I share my experience that being imperfect is the norm, not the exception when it comes to parenting.
I often found myself overwhelmed, easily derailed and feeling guilty as I tried to balance a demanding job and my growing family. Over time I learned how to let go of my insecurities and guilt, embrace imperfection and practice self-compassion. This book serves as a reminder to other moms that you are not alone in the struggles of parenting. We don't have to beat ourselves up when reality doesn't match your expectations. I also offer practical tips for things like getting organized, dealing with homework, breastfeeding and getting rid of with the ever-so-annoying head lice.
So whether you’ve just found out you are pregnant, or have a child in school I hope that by sharing my mistakes and lessons learned along the way, I can help you gain confidence and let go of the guilt that can make parenting so much tougher.
